well, things have been super busy lately, and by "busy" i mean crazy, and by "crazy" i mean that i have been too lazy to take 5 minutes and write a blog...eek!

anyway, i'm back...let's see, what's happened since the last post...hmmmm...

we're not pregnant yet, so we are still trying. it's early yet, so i'm not worrying about it - we're trying not to over-think the situation...and by "we're trying not to over-think" it i mean i'm trying not to be crazy about it...

the new school year started and i love my new kids. some are more of a trial than others, but that's teenagers for you. all in all they are a great group and i'm really having a good time with them.

jimmy and i decided to enlist in the weight watcher nation and have been at it for 3 weeks now. so far, jimmy has lost 9 pounds and i've lost 6 (i'm trying not to be bitter that it was my idea and he's the one who's lost the most weight). i'm proud of us for sticking to it - we're actually doing really well with it and are excited to already have positive results. six pounds down, 44 to go!

and now i think we're all caught up...

jimmy and i are currently in illinois for thanksgiving (yea) and we are having a nice, relaxing time. today we drove up to dwight to see jimmy's grandma (grandma wilson) and then went to dinner at monical's (delicious pizza place) in morton.

tomorrow we're celebrating our niece's 2nd birthday with the whole family, minus uncle g who didn't make it out for thanksgiving. i'm really looking forward to spending more time with our niece and nephew, Julia and Brett, because they are too precious. absolutely adorable!

okay, that's all for now. i'm pooped from all this relaxing.

I am happy to "announce" that Jimmy and I are officially on our way to starting a family. My doctor gave me a prescription for prenatal vitamins and told me to "hurry and get pregnant" - I am so excited!
My "baby" insurance doesn't kick in until September 1st, so we have to be careful for the next 19 days. After that, it's on!
Baby, baby, baby, baby.....Think Baby!!!

Mother's Day

This year for mother's day we decided to go low-key.

Mama, Daddy, and Vonda Jo came over for lunch (bruschetta chicken bake, super smashed garlic potatoes, salad, and a made-from-scratch red velvet cake with made-from-scratch cream cheese icing - - YUMMO!) and, of course, a movie marathon.

In honor of the new Indiana Jones movie (coming to a theatre near you May 22nd!), we watched "IJ & the Temple of Doom" and "IJ and the Last Crusade" - oldies but goodies! It was awesome on our new TV - there's nothing like Harrison Ford shirtless on a big plasma screen! It's not lust, just extreme appreciation. :)

I hope everyone had as awesome a mother's day as we did!

I decided to create a blog. My best friends came over this weekend for a girls' weekend, and we had a great time. After hearing them talking about their blogs and how much fun they have writing them and reading other people's blogs, I decided to join them.
